Project Brockzilla
Do you live in or around Brockley in SE London? If so, how would you like the chance to get some of your artwork exhibited in the area's newest and friendliest cafés? Well, it looks like you might be in with a chance. The brief is simple: produce an image of Brockley like the one above. The only real restrictions must be that it has to be identifiably Brockley or nearby and that it has to be a4 or smaller in size (and preferably flat). Beyond that, what you do with the concept is up to you - so far, ideas have been mooted about Ninjas in Tresillian Road, a view from Hilly Fields as a Dune Sandworm rises up to consume the dome, a battle between giant ants and zombies in the shadows of Prendergast School. The aim is to exhibit during the month of October, ready for Hallowe'en, so it's worth having something ready to submit in September, maybe?
Brockley's full of eccentrics and artists, so I'm sure this is a wonderfully viable idea. If you want to talk about the project a little more, please email me on hhardiman *at* gmail dot com (although obviously, use an @ and a . when you send it) and we'll see what's what! Also, please do pass on the details of this to as many arty people as you can possibly think of!
